Palm Sunday
On Palm Sunday, we read the Passion account according to Mark. We see many people that Jesus encountered on the road to Calvary. Which of these people do you resemble the most.
Are we the woman who amounts Jesus with expressive perfume? Do we count the cost when we contemplate our relationships with the Lord?
Or Judas and betray Him for earthly treasure?
Or Peter and turn our backs to Jesus when He needs us most?
Or Pilate and conform to the crowd without any thought to what is righteous and good.
Or the apostles in the garden and choose to close our eyes to the heartbreak of others.
Or Simon of Cyrene and bear the burden of another’s cross.
Or the Sankerdrin and live by our empty words refusing to act when it really matters the most.
There are many examples to follow but only one clear answer. Look to Christ to understand the path to true happiness. Walk with Jesus on the road to the summit of Love, Mount Calvary.
